Majaal Facilitates Foriegn Direct Investment Into Bahrain With New Tenancy 

Manama, 8 June 2010: First Bahrain, an innovative real estate developer, through its inaugural project Majaal, has helped to facilitate the establishment in Bahrain of GULF POLYTEX, a new company formed through foreign direct investment in Bahrain. In choosing to locate its regional manufacturing operations at the Majaal warehousing and logistics complex, GULF POLYTEX satisfied a key government requirement which enabled it to receive its commercial registration and industrial licence. The newly established company will begin operations in Bahrain this month.

 
GULF POLYTEX intends to use its space in Majaal to manufacture and market a broad spectrum of permeable sun shading systems and awnings for both local markets and regional export.  The new venture is expected create up to 10 new jobs, many of which will be for Bahrainis.

GULF POLYTEX’s new headquarters at Majaal will offer turnkey services including cutting and trimming of high density polyethylene materials used in producing artificial decorative shades. The company will invite local contractors be involved with the manufacture of frameworks and also installation of shade structures to compliment a full turnkey service effort. GULF POLYTEX has also been appointed as regional representative by a prominent UK Architectural Structural Design company involved in “The Ferrari World” Project located in Abu Dhabi.
 
Majaal, First Bahrain’s inaugural project, is located within the Salman Industrial City at the Bahrain Investment Wharf, providing easy access to Khalifa bin Salman Port and other major transport links in Bahrain. Majaal presently offers 130,000 square feet of secure, flexible and cost effective storage space which has been designed especially to facilitate the SME segment of the Kingdom’s industrial sector.  Space is available for lease from as little as 2,700 square feet to multiples of 10,700 square feet.
