Challenge Bahrain, the organizers of the triathlon event to be held in Bahrain on 6 December 2014, today announced Majaal Warehouse Co. as their official logistics partner for their international Triathlon event to be held in Bahrain 6 December 2014. In support of the race, Majaal has agreed to provide storage space for all the event equipment throughout the year in its state of the art, 400,000 square foot industrial facility located within the Salman Industrial City.

On the occasion of the signing of the agreement, Majaal’s Managing Director, Amin Al Arrayed, stated, “As an entrepreneurial organization founded in Bahrain, we are honoured to be associated with Challenge Bahrain. We share their values for innovation and we admire their commitment to launching this exciting new venture which will surely bring great credit to our beloved country.”

Challenge Bahrain’s GM Dr. Saqer Al Khalifa states, “In launching this annual event, we needed to identify a location to securely store our equipment throughout the year, ensuring cost and quality controls. Moreover, while we are already planning expansion to the region, we need that equipment to be accessible and easily transported to cities across the region. Majaal will be supporting us in all these logistics requirements. We are extremely thankful for Majaal’s management for this wonderful partnership.”

Challenge Bahrain is the first internationally branded half distance triathlon to take place in the Middle East. The 113km race will consist of three legs, beginning with a 1.9km swim, followed by a 90km bike and concluding with a 21km run. The race will stretch across the whole of the country, beginning with the swim leg in the Bahrain Bay. The racers will then bike to Muharraq and on to the Bahrain International Circuit, concluding with a lap of the track. The foot race will then circle the Al Areen Wildlife Park before returning to BIC for the grand finish.
